«HERITAGE» PROGRAM

The compiling of a general electronic catalog of Iakov Chernikhov’s works at the Russian State Archives of Literature and Art (folder 1978), the Schusev State Museum of Architecture (Msocow), as well as in foreign museums and galleries, private archives and collections.

A reconstruction in 2005-2006 of the water tower at the cable-making shop at the «Krasny gvozdilshchik» factory designed and constructed by Iakov Chernikhov in 1930-1931. The creation in Moscow in 2006 the Gallery of the Architectural Avant-garde named in honor of Iakov Chernikhov where will be displayed the works of both Russian and such prominent western masters of architecture as Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid, Peter Eisenman, Rem Koolhaas and others. The gallery will be based on the permanent exposition of Iakov Chernikhov’s heritage from the archives of Andrey Chernikhov, the president of the Foundation. It is planned to hold at the gallery the exhibitions of the modern architecture and design, international master-classes and competitions on the urgent problems of architecture and city planning of Moscow.
