Iakov Chernikhov’s Foundation prize
for best conceptual diploma project

The diploma projects best corresponding to the character of Iakov Chernikhov’s graphical architectural creative work are awarded with this prize. The project should be distinguished by its figurativeness, high level of graphic art of expression of architectural thought and innovative form-building.

On the part of the Foundation, the joint jury of Iakov Chernikhov’s Foundation prize comprises:

• Andrey Chernikhov, Russia, president of the Foundation, professor of the IAA, vice president of the Moscow section of the International Academy of Architecture;
  
• Georgi Stanishev, Bulgaria, vice president of the Foundation, professor of the IAA, head of the chair of architecture of the Sofia university of Architecture and Construction
  

Prize winners:

• The year 2002: T. Abdullayev, Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts. Diploma project «Multifunctional municipal cultural and entertainment complex in the structure of the business center «Yekaterinburg-City».
  
• The year 2003: A.Lekareva, Samara State University of Architecture and Civil Engeneering. Diploma project «Concept of environmental design of Lenin Prospect (Vertical Park) ».
  
• The year 2004: V. Kharitonov, Moscow Architectural Institute. Diploma project «Polyfunctional complex with the ice palace «Meteor».
